ABO Prep Virtual Retreat

The purpose of this virtual retreat is to review knowledge and skills to prepare for the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) certification exam. Participants will be provided information on terminology, lens characteristic, ocular anatomy, and more. The last few hours of the retreat will allow participants to experience a practice test to evaluate their knowledge and 2 additional two-hour study groups to reinforce optical math skills.

Materials will be emailed to all participants before the course as well as instructions on how to login to the course.

Open to anyone seeking their American Board of Opticianry certification or an overview of optical knowledge.

First Impressions & Constructive Communication Virtual Course

Who makes the first impression and the last impression on your patient? The front desk staff! This virtual course teaches your staff the why and how of those impressions that are so critical to your mission. Effective behavior makes patients feel positively connected with your practice, which breeds loyalty and boosts practice performance. A second module teaches your staff to communicate constructively with coworkers, patients, and difficult people.

A “mini-DISC” assessment will be included in the course workbook (sent prior to the course date). The assessment will be taken, and the results will be discussed at the time of the class. Course instructions and other materials will be provided to all participants prior to the start of the course.

Open to all staff positions responsible for patient engagement.

Managing Workplace Conflict Virtual Workshop

The purpose of this virtual workshop is to help you understand and implement the tools you need to build better workplace relationships, enhance performance and improve productivity. This skills-based certification workshop includes workbook, assessment instruments and a training certificate and is open to doctors, managers & staff who want to be certified to act as internal conflict resolution coaches.

The cost is $495 per attendee and $150 for course materials which will be mailed directly to all participants prior to the start of the course. Login instructions and meeting ID will be emailed the week prior to the event.
