DALLAS, TEXAS — Dr. Elizabeth Christensen of Rancho Santa Fe Optometry in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, received recognition for her continued commitment to professional development at a recent meeting of Cleinman Performance Network.

Dr. Christensen — celebrating her 10th year in the Network — demonstrates a dedication to creating a healthy work environment, as well as to maintaining a high level of patient care and satisfaction.

As a member of Cleinman Performance Network, a wisdom-sharing group of peer optometrists from across North America, Dr. Christensen provides valuable knowledge that highlights and contributes to the best practices in vision care and eye health.

Dr. Christensen is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry.  She remained at the college as a member of the clinic faculty, teaching optometric students how to perform eye examination and vision therapy.  She opened her private practice in 1983, providing comprehensive optometric care with an emphasis on vision therapy.  She is a certified fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the accrediting institution for optometrists who do vision therapy.  Dr. Christensen is a member of several associations, including the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association.

Dr. Christensen is married to Rand Christensen. They have two children, Emilie and Eric. The family enjoys traveling, watching movies and reading.

Rancho Santa Fe Optometry offers comprehensive eye examinations for all ages. With a focus on children’s vision and vision therapy, Dr. Christensen tests for visual acuity, visual efficiency skills and visual information processing starting in early infancy.  The practice also provides diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases that affect the human eye and visual system, including dry eye syndrome, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration and keratoconus.
