Magical Night Brings Attention to Ocular Melanoma

Signature martinis and dazzling mini designer Christmas trees create a festive atmosphere to support a great cause!

Jingle Mingle: Martinis & Magic, presented by A Cure in Sight, aims to raise awareness and funds for the fight against ocular melanoma. The event will be held at 6 PM Friday, November 14, at the Space Coast Convention Center at the Holiday Inn Express in Cocoa.

Ocular melanoma (OM) is the most common primary cancer of the eye in adults, with approximately 2,500 adults diagnosed every year in the United States. An extremely rare form of cancer, half of those diagnosed with the disease will see it spread to other parts of their body. While there is no cure, promising new treatments are on the horizon. Because the OM is considered a rare cancer, resources are limited; a great need exists for more awareness, funding and patient services.

A Cure in Sight is dedicated to raising OM awareness and aiding those coping with the disease. OMG (Ocular Melanoma Getaways), a program developed by the not-for-profit organization, offers patients suffering from OM a chance to experience a “Bucket List” vacation with their families. Making lasting memories while still healthy enough to do so, patients can feel a renewed sense of spirit and happiness with the ones they love. Martinis & Magic will support this program directly, in addition to many other outreach programs.

To make the event even more successful, A Cure in Sight seeks sponsors who will play a prominent role in the event. Sponsor opportunities include a VIP table at the event, podium time, a spotlight on your business on the event website and Facebook page, martini naming rights and a mini designer Christmas tree to decorate.
