These individual group sessions have been an experiment for us. Heretofore, Network meetings were held in a central location with multiple groups meeting simultaneously. This past session, which allowed for a bit more flexibility in scheduling, was well received, and will likely be repeated in some form in upcoming sessions.
Plans are now well underway for our Network meeting coming this November to Music City, USA. Yes, we’re headed to Nashville, home of the Grand Ole Opry, collard greens and fried green tomatoes. Our headquarters hotel is none other than the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center, one of Nashville’s premier hotel venues. With almost three thousand rooms, the Gaylord will be a new experience for our Network meeting. With all groups in attendance, this event on November 9th to 11th will be packed with ideas, networking, perspective and energy. The Gaylord is a family-friendly 4-star complex, with a full-service spa and outstanding recreational amenities, including two outdoor swimming pools, a water park and a sauna! So come early and stay late.
Our November meeting will be all about perspective. On September 9th, I celebrate my 50th year in the eyecare industry. Wow! Where has the time gone? Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to observe, and participate in, some of the major bellwether developments of optometry. I’ve experienced, first-hand, events and technologies that have brought the profession from the dark ages before medical eyecare to advances leading to today’s medical model. I’ve been involved with the introduction of business models and systems that have changed the way you do business. The perspective of history is a great teacher, and our team is busy building a meeting that will take both a backward and forward look at the profession. What can history teach us?
November’s meeting represents an opportunity to more clearly understand the forces at work and the opportunities at hand. Armed with the right strategies, you will kickstart your practice for the coming years. Keynote speakers will address some of the key opportunities before the profession, while others will share their unique learnings from building their businesses. This coming session represents a much-awaited return to our classic Cleinman Performance Network events. We can’t wait to see you there.
So, mark your calendars for November 9th to 11th. Stay tuned for details on keynote speakers, learning opportunities and all that goes into our unique business focused meetings.
See you in Nashville!
