Who Ya Goin’ To Call? November 2, 2022
In a recent posting, I discussed the Farmers Insurance commercial, “we know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two.” This week, my message continues about insurance.
Frequently, we hear about challenging situations that optometrists encounter. Whether it be a competitive challenge, a negotiation challenge, a hiring or managerial challenge, a financial challenge or even a legal challenge, the call for help often comes late in the process. Sometimes too late.
There are many examples. For instance, the optometrist who contacted us to fix a succession plan that an attorney had messed up, after paying over $25,000 in legal fees.
Or the optometrist who had contracted a grave illness a year prior, closed his office, and only after a year contacted us to attempt to sell it.
Or the optometrist who was under contract to acquire a practice, only to learn that there were questions he should have asked before he signed the contract.
