CHICAGO — Dr. Ian Middleton of Family Optometry Center in Santa Rosa, CA, received recognition for his continued commitment to professional development at a recent meeting of Cleinman Performance Network.

Dr. Middleton — celebrating his fifth year in the Network — demonstrates a dedication to creating a healthy and beneficial work environment, as well as to maintaining a high level of patient care and satisfaction.

As a member of Cleinman Performance Network, a wisdom-sharing group of peer optometrists from across North America, Dr. Middleton provides valuable knowledge that highlights and contributes to the best practices in vision care and eye health.

Dr. Middleton graduated from the University of California’s School of Optometry in 1971. His specialized interests include treating dry eye, ocular surface disease and computer vision syndrome. Dr. Middleton has been practicing optometry for more than 35 years, and, according to Family Optometry Center’s website, he “still looks forward to coming to the office, helping patients to see better, puzzling over unusual signs and systems, initiating treatment strategies and improving patients’ ocular health.”

Family Optometry Center offers comprehensive eye exams, Optical Coherence Technology (used to scan the retina) and the state-of-the-art MPOD, which measures Macular Pigment Optical Density, a risk factor for macular degeneration for those over 40 or with a family history of macular degeneration. The doctors and staff have more than 175 years of combined experience.
